Fireplace inserts provide an attractive way to upgrade an existing masonry or manufactured wood-burning fireplace into an efficient, heat source. New inserts are over 70% efficient and heat areas from 1500 square feet up to 3000 square feet.
Inserts are installed into approved fireplaces with a flue liner running the length of the existing chimney. Be sure to have your fireplace cleaned and evaluated before selecting an insert. Attention must be paid to the required clearances to existing fireplace wood trim and mantles when installing stoves and inserts into an existing fireplace.
