All Jotul gas fireplaces & inserts are furnace rated.  In laymen's terms - this means great heating capacity with minimal heat loss.  The handcrafted ceramic fiber log set reproduces the warm glow of a wood fire.  They include glowing ember beds and have no visible burner parts.
